When you first learned about your unexpected pregnancy, you probably thought, “There is no way I could parent this child.” But what if we told you it is possible to be a successful parent? We’ll show you how. Just because your pregnancy was unplanned doesn’t mean it’s impossible.
Is Parenting Right for Me?
Wow! Think back a few months and ask yourself if you thought parenting might be in your immediate future. The answer is probably not. But just because parenting wasn’t what you were planning on, it doesn’t mean it can’t happen.
We’ll show you the many resources and referrals available. We bet you’ll be surprised by what you can find.
What to Consider
As you consider becoming a parent, you need to assess what you have available and what you’ll need. By answering the following questions, you can help us figure out how we can help you:
- Will I have the financial and emotional support of my partner?
- How will my parents respond to the news? Will they help me?
- Where will I live?
- Can I continue my education? My career?
- How can I get medical insurance, childcare, and other financial support?
- Do I have the will to parent?
- How can I get baby supplies at a cost I can afford?
