Experts recommend waiting to test until after your missed period. We offer free and confidential pregnancy testing.
A positive pregnancy test only indicates the possibility of pregnancy. An ultrasound can confirm it. Here are the reasons you don’t want to skip this valuable exam:
- You learn if your pregnancy is developing or if you have had a miscarriage.
- Ultrasound determines exactly how far along you are in your pregnancy.
- It identifies the location of your pregnancy. If it’s outside your uterus, it could be a dangerous, life-threatening health issue.
If you are sexually active, there is a strong possibility you could have a sexually transmitted disease (STD) or sexually transmitted infection (STI). The CDC warns that many STDs/STIs have no immediate symptoms, but could become serious health concerns later.
We do not perform or refer for abortions at the Alpha Women’s Center. Still, we do offer factual, medically based information about abortion procedures, the side effects to expect, and the potential physical and emotional consequences.
